Community Responder Group
| Name: | Hermitage |

| Areas: | Hermitage and Marlston, which are a few miles to the north-east of Newbury. The patch includes several schools and old people's homes, as well as private houses and shops. |
| Contact: | Hugh Whittaker on 0118 9365563 |
| About: | Calls attended in the past 12 months include cardiac arrests, chest pain, suspected stroke, fitting, asthma, diabetes emergencies, and breathing difficulties. As mentioned elsewhere on the site, please have someone available to greet the emergency services outside the property, and remember that Responders travel in unmarked cars, so don't necessarily expect blue lights. |
We are always on the lookout for new responders, ideally we would like to setup a CFR group in as many different areas throughout the four counties covered by the south central area as possible. If you are interested in becoming a responder, please Click Here. If you don't fancy the idea of actually attending an emergency situation, groups always need organisers, fund fundraisers and volunteers who are willing to help in other capacities.
Please bear in mind that all the work that community responders do is on a voluntary basis, the equipment has to be bought and maintained, which all costs real money. If you want to make a donation and help a particular group, or the scheme in general, whatever the amount, it is all very gratefully received and will make a difference!
