Community Responder Group

Name:Heyfords
Areas:Lower Heyford, Upper Heyford, Caulcott, Rowsham and Somerton, and if appropriate back up the responders in Steeple Aston.
Contact:Graham on 07785 222380
About:Graham and Gilli have been responding in the Heyfords since 2006. While they were both trained by the Ambulance Service, Graham, in particular, has a background in beach lifeguarding and lifesaving generally, and is a National Trainer/Assessor for the Royal Life Saving Society. Every month or so, we post seasonal tips and hints on the Parish Council website Residents' Bulletin Board, please save us work by checking it out!
Thanks:The Parish Council, Relief in Need Charity and the Heyfords WI have all very kindly contributed to our equipment and training. This is very much appreciated.

We are always on the lookout for new responders, ideally we would like to setup a CFR group in as many different areas throughout the four counties covered by the south central area as possible. If you are interested in becoming a responder, please Click Here. If you don't fancy the idea of actually attending an emergency situation, groups always need organisers, fund fundraisers and volunteers who are willing to help in other capacities.

Please bear in mind that all the work that community responders do is on a voluntary basis, the equipment has to be bought and maintained, which all costs real money. If you want to make a donation and help a particular group, or the scheme in general, whatever the amount, it is all very gratefully received and will make a difference!
